Matters of The Heart

Gooood afternoon yall! Hope yall iz doin well :)

Well, every mornin I wake up, I always get online to read the news for today. This mornin was no different.... So I log on to Yahoo News and this story catches my eye. It was entitled "British Girl's Heart Heals Itself". I said to my self, "lemme go read this!" So I click the link and read this amazing story about a little girl who, in 1994 @ 6 months old, was having heart trouble and she needed a transplant but the problems she was having with her heart were also affecting her lungs so she was need not only a heart transplant but also a lung transplant as well. The doctors came to the conclusion that she was jus too fragile to perform BOTH surgeries on so instead, she received a donor heart from a 5 month old. But here is were the interesting part of the story comes in.... Instead of taking out the old heart and replacing it with her new heart, they attached the donor heart to her old heart. (She was taking medications so she wouldn't reject the donor heart. The drugs caused her to have cancer. She took chemo. Got over it.) So they were jus keepin an eye on it and a few yrs later, her old heart had completely healed! The only problem at that point was that the cancer spread through her body and she eventually rejected the donor BUT her own heart was working fine so it was not important to remove the donor. Fast forward to 2006...

Her 'old' heart is back at 100% so the dr's were able to remove the donor and she is now living a full life (she is 16 now and doing normal teenager stuff.)

So I said alllllllll that to say this:

We as children of the Most High, when we feel pain (emotional), the first place we feel it is our heart and then it begins to affect other areas of our life. Well... As we all should know, God is love. When u think of love, u think of a heart (duh!). When we as children of God feel pain, as we need to do is go to THE doctor, and He will have THE cure! All he wants is for us to keep Him in our hearts sooooo.... when we feel pain and it starts to "spread" to other parts of life, God is simply there to wrap his loving arms (His heart cuz God is love) around us and wants us to know that things will eventually get better b4 we even know it! Now, we are able to share to love of God (the donor heart) with other hurting ppl... Wheeew ok. I'm done!

Well... I have learned over the last couple of days that I really don't have too many people I can call "friends". I think God has given me the spirit of discernement (sp?) for a reason and it has been "used" over the past few days. I find it funny how people find it soooo easy to smile in your face but find it even easier to say negative things about you behind your back. I have jus come to the realization that NOW may be the time where God may not want me to be friends with certain ppl. Ppl who I thought were lifelong are clearly only meant for a certain time sooo... If I seem like I'm pulling away, I have my reasons. Tired of two facededness lol (I guess that's how u spell it but you get my point lol)... But seriously. Time out for foolishness.... Time to do ME and ONLY ME!

9. I have 3, not 2, siblings, but I don't really count the oldest sibling bcuz he was never really n my life. Yeah, I know... Forgiveness... But I'll pass on that...

10. I am obsessed w/ the tv show "Will & Grace"!!! 1 of my bestest friends has helped me start my quest of acquiring all 6 (or 7??) Seasons by purchasing the 1st season box set 4 me! LUV U FAST FREDDY!

13. I luv 2 do hair (everything except perms!). It is 1 of my biggest passions. I plan on gettn my cosmetology license & opening my own salon (n conjuction wit my daycare).

14.My favorite restaurant of all times is Olive Garden! Me & "Freddy" ate 7 bowls of salad n 1 sitting! Great times :p

15. My favorite movie is the 1st Lion King & Soul Food.

16. My favorite song is "Total Praise" by Richard Smallwood.

17. Sometimes I wonder why I don't have a BF. I'm the best GF that any man could have. I grew up wit the best example of how a relationship is supposed 2 b (parents celebrate 30 yrs n july) & I surely know how 2 take care of a man. But until God says so....

18. I call my 2003 Toyota Echo "Ms Gracey" because it was the GRACE of God that kept me after the 2 accidents I had been n.

19. My favorite tv shows that I MUST watch on a daily basis (since Will & Grace went off the air) is First 48, ManHunters, Cold Case Files, Forensic Files... I at one time wanted to get my degree in Forensic Linguistics but the good lord said different! Lol...

20. I tried out 4 American Idol & they said my voice wasn't strong enough lol lol... Those that know me, know that is a lie from the pits of HELL! Lol

21. I have a tendency 2 always find the good n any situation... Sometimes 2 a fault.

22. I play piano.

23. I luv 2 write! I have sooo many notebooks full of nonsense!

24. My favorite scriptures r Isaiah 40:31 & 2 Corinthians 4:17.

25. Finally... I'm bout as real as they come. U can take it or leave it & gon 2 the house! I'm tired of it! (Shout out 2 Eddie Holt aka Mr Brown!)
